Riding to Consolacion Monastery

Consolacion Monastery excursion is an intimate and cosy route in the east of the island of Majorca, that on a horse gives us the chance to go deep into a hospitable landscape between what is historical and rural.
We are talking about Felanitx, the fourth largest municipality of Majorca, where there are still remains of the prosperous past as an industrial centre by the end of XIX century.

From the beginning, riders travel focused on the natural beauty of the mountains and ranges of the area, despite its low height, you will be delighted riding. The area keeps its rural aspect perfectly with its pastoral and cobbled tracks, as well as, agrarian country houses full of carob and almond trees, and depending on the season, you will be able to see their splendid blossom.

All along the activity, a support vehicle will follow us with a trailer and will supply us a splendid complet buffet, both for us and our mounts, that we will enjoy on a typical mediterranean bush forest with splendid views.

After that, we will go to Consolacion Monastery, going through pine forests, farmlands and small lands of autochthonous heads of cattle. Once we reach the top, the religious enclave gives you the chance to have a rest in the solid walls that surround the Monastery. From there, we can see Cabrera Island on the horizon, which in 1.991 was declared a Marine and Terrestrial Natural Park.

• Wear trainers if you do not have riding boots.
• Wear riding trousers. If you do not have one, wear long trousers like jeans.
• Sun cream lotion and a hat or a cap in summer time.
• Binoculars, if you have some.
• Respect the environment.

• This tour must be booked at least 48 hours in advance of your travel date.

• A minimum of 3 person are requiered to book.

• Riders should be able to trot. Therefore, a medium or a high level is required.
